St. Thomas Primary School wins Talented Youth Pageant 2015

(CHARLESTOWN NEVIS)- J’Neaqua Matthew and Vishwanauth Singh of the St. Thomas’ Primary School, were crowned Mr. and Miss Talented Youth 2015 on Sunday July 26 at the Nevis Cultural Complex. The students, who were sponsored by Four Seasons Resort Estates and Grace Foods International, competed against eight other participants from four other schools as part of Culturama 41 Youth Pageant.

The battle between the contestants was highly competitive from the outset. All the participants exuded self confidence and determination, as they competed against each other in four judged segments.

At the end of the evening’s proceedings, the St. Thomas’s Primary School contestants captured the Best Talent and Creative Expression segments, as well as Best Appreciation Speech. The Joycelyn Liburd Primary School students, Shai-Ann Tyson and Bryce Fyfield walked away with Best Formal Wear.

The overall results of the Talented Youth Pageant 2015 were, Shai-Ann Tyson and Bryce Fyfield of the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School, who were sponsored by Golden Rock Inn and Lefco Equipment Rental Construction Company Ltd. placed second runner up. They received a total of 552.2 points.

First runner up with a total of 561.5 points went to the Nevis Academy, Dharshanie Ross and Davion Wilkin. They were sponsored by National Insurance Company Ltd. and Indian Summer Restaurant.

The 2015 Mr. and Miss Talented Youth winners went to the St. Thomas’ Primary School. They gained a total of 618.5 points.
