THOMPSON HERAH

Jamaica’s reigning double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson Herah produced her fastest outdoor 100m clocking of the season.

Thompson Herah ran a world-leading 10.89 seconds too win her semi-final heat of the Mount SAC relays on Saturday afternoon. That time was since outdone by the United States’ Twanisha Terry, who clocked 10.77 seconds, though wind aided, meaning Thompson Herah’s time remains the world leader.

Thompson Herah’s compatriot Briana Williams won her heat in 10.91 seconds, also wind aided, to advance to the final as well.
