According to reports the Conaree player attacked Francis shortly after the football match which Village Superstars won 2-1 for the coveted Easter Cup.
“Raheem is a great young man both on and off the field and does not deserve this at all. My heart goes out to his parents, family and friends at this time as we pray for his recovery,” said West Basseterre parliamentary representative, Hon Konris Maynard.
“I pray now for the healing hands of Jesus to lay on young Raheem this Easter Sunday and beyond,” Maynard said in a statement posted on FaceBook.
