On Friday, July 24, during the 6th Annual Robin Trevor Memorial Sail aboard Spirit, Abhijith Srinivasan was presented with the 2026 Robin Trevor Spirit of Sailing Award by Curt Muhlenbruch on behalf of the Trevor family.
The award recognises a sailor who exemplifies passion, dedication, sportsmanship, leadership, and a commitment to giving back to the sailing community—qualities that Abhijith consistently demonstrates.
From learning to sail at the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Centre (NASC) at the age of eight in an Optimist dinghy to becoming the first sailor from St. Kitts and Nevis to compete at the ILCA North American Championships, Abhijith has continually inspired the sailing community through his hard work, humility, and willingness to help others.
Whether mentoring younger sailors, maintaining the club’s fleet, or proudly representing the Federation on the international stage, Abhijith leads by example both on and off the water.
Congratulations, Abhijith, on this well-deserved honour. We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished and wish you every success as you travel to Denmark to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the ILCA World Championships.
