BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — Former students from St. Kitts and Nevis who studied in Taiwan recently gathered for a special alumni event hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), fostering renewed connections and celebrating shared experiences.
The event brought together alumni for an engaging session with His Excellency Ambassador Edward Tao and members of his diplomatic team. According to the Embassy, the gathering provided an opportunity for participants to reconnect and exchange fond memories of their educational journeys in Taiwan.
“The Embassy hosted a Taiwan alumni gathering, where Ambassador Edward Tao warmly engaged with alumni who studied in Taiwan and shared in their experiences,” the Embassy stated.
The event was held at *Idea in a Cup*, a Taiwanese restaurant, symbolically highlighting the strong cultural ties and enduring friendship between Taiwan and St. Kitts and Nevis.
The Embassy also noted that many returning graduates have made meaningful contributions to national development across various sectors, including education, healthcare, technology, public service, and business. Their achievements underscore the lasting impact of cooperation between Taiwan and St. Kitts and Nevis.
Officials emphasized that such engagements continue to strengthen people-to-people connections and reinforce the longstanding partnership between the two nations.
