Gingerland, Nevis: Sometime after 2 pm on Tuesday, 10th September, an accident took place in the village of Hard Times, in Gingerland.
It involved one of the drinks’ trucks owned by the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla Trading and Development Company (TDC).
Unconfirmed reports indicate that there was probably an issue with the brakes, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it slammed into a nearby mango tree causing all the crates and drinks to topple into the road.
One of the workers, who was at the back of the truck, received what was considered at the time, to be ‘serious injuries’ and was rushed to the Alexandra Hospital for immediate treatment and care.
The road was blocked for quite some time, as the clean up had to be completed.
