Team B Claims Victory in Primary Schools Cricket Finals

Charlestown, Sunday 27th July – Team B emerged victorious at the Villa Grounds, celebrating their win in the thrilling third and final match of the Best-of-Three Finals among Nevis’ top primary school cricketers.

With both Team A and Team B having secured one win each, the stage was set for an exciting winner-takes-all showdown.

Team A won the toss and chose to bat first. K’Vern Herbert delivered an outstanding performance, smashing a scintillating 57 runs, leading his team to a solid total of 121 for 3 in 15 overs. The innings also benefited from 29 extras, contributing to the seemingly defendable score.

In reply, Team B had a cautious start, but Zakeem Bailey soon took charge, dominating the innings with powerful stroke play. He fell just shy of a half-century, scoring 47 runs, while Ranveer Singh anchored the innings with an unbeaten 33.* Their partnership, supported by 37 extras, helped Team B chase down the target, finishing at 122 for 3 and clinching the match by 7 wickets.
