Shakir Stapleton received a hero’s welcome as he returned to Nevis on Sunday 12th June.
He was met at the Oualie pier by a small contingent of well-wishers which included Minister of Sports, Hon. Eric Evelyn, Coaches, family members and members of the Special Olympic committee.
Shakir recently secured the gold medal as the Tennis champion in the recently concluded USA Special Olympics Games, which were held in Orlando.
