BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Dry air and a lingering plume of Saharan dust will continue to dominate weather conditions across St. Kitts and Nevis, resulting in hazy skies and limiting the chances of significant rainfall.

The forecast calls for partly sunny and hazy conditions today, with only a 20 percent (slight) chance of brief passing showers as shallow cloud patches move westward across the islands.

Tonight will be fair and hazy, with a 20 percent chance of isolated brief showers.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 32°C (90°F), while overnight temperatures will fall to around 27°C (81°F).

Winds will blow from the east at 19 to 37 km/h (12 to 23 mph), with possible gusts reaching 56 km/h (35 mph).

Sea conditions will range from 1.2 to 1.8 metres (4 to 6 feet). A Small Craft Caution remains in effect, particularly along the northern and eastern coasts of the islands, and operators of small vessels are advised to exercise caution.
