The Ministry of Health is proudly hosting a two-day national conference entitled “Towards a School Nutrition Policy” at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
Held under the EUCAN Project: Nourishing the Future Together and funded by the European Union, this pivotal conference brings together key stakeholders from the health, education, agriculture, and development sectors to advance national efforts toward the creation of a comprehensive School Nutrition Policy.
The event opened with inspiring remarks from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources, Hon. Samal Duggins, both of whom reaffirmed the Government’s steadfast commitment to promoting healthier food environments in schools and fostering a culture of wellness among the nation’s youth.
