Three arrested and charged for Stoney Grove robbery

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Police on Nevis have recently arrested and charged three Cotton Ground residents who alleged tied up a Stoney Grove resident and robbed him of a number of valuable items.

News reaching this publication indicates that Omar Walters, Sheriff Williams and Germaine Wilkerson were arrested and charged with the house breaking and armed robbery of Glendon Fordyce, a native of Guyana who is a Reservist of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force.

Fordyce became a victim on Monday, October 6, 2014 when he was robbed at his Stoney Grove residence of a quantity of gold jewelry and cash.

The three men were apprehended on Tuesday and were later charged .

Walters, currently has three brothers within the walls of HM Prison. In June 2014, one of his brothers, Miles Walters was sentenced to five (5) years imprisonment for possession of firearm; and 5 years for possession of ammunition. Sometime after, another brother was found with a firearm and was remanded to prison after police arrested and charged him with possession of firearm and ammunition.

Then in September 2014, another of his siblings, 21 year old Reece Walters was arrested and charged for the murder of 15 year old Shante Claxton.

The three men would soon appear before the District ‘C’ Magistrate Court to answer the charges.
