Three cricket clubs donate $1500 to assist Kareem

Three Cricket Clubs in St. Kitts and Nevis have donated $500 to former national team cricket Kareem Kelly to assist with medical costs after he had back surgery in April

The Molineaux/Cayon Cricket Club, Sandy Point Cricket Club and the Young Guns Cricket Club came together and played a tri series over the past three weeks and donated $1500 to the Family of Kelly who is currently in Jamaica recovering form the surgery.

Each club will donated $500 Kelly’s medical expenses and the funds were handed over to his father Conrad Kelly on Sunday following the final game of the series.

Kelly is a former leg spinner for the St. Kitts National Team and continues to support the sport on a local level continuously appearing on the field at the local level.

The overall cost for his expenses is estimated to reach up $209k he’s in stable condition and has to relearn to walk again.

According to his father Kelly suffered back problems following an accident in 2016 and disclosed that the surgery was a success after he had three disks replaced in his spine.

Conrad Kelly noted that he was grateful for the donation and that it will go along way to help his son recover from his surgery.
