Three Nevisians in SKN under 17 Team

Three youthful Nevisians have been included in the St. Kitts- Nevis under 17 Football team, which will be travelling to Florida shortly, to take part in the CONCACAF under 17 championships and world cup qualifier.
The three players are: Brothers- Dejal and Jalden Myers of Bath village and Vibert Stevens of Brown Hill.
Director of Sports and former coach of the Myers’ brothers, Mr. Jamir Claxton, formally introduced the players (minus Stevens, who was absent), to the Minister of Sports, Hon. Eric Evelyn, on Wednesday 27th March.
He congratulated the young men on their achievement and wished them every success in the upcoming tournament.
Minister Evelyn noted that he was ‘proud and heartened’ and indicated that he was pleased that the Myers brothers would be putting Bath Village in a positive light and requested of all three, to represent themselves, their respective villages, their families, the island and the federation, well—on and off the field.
He pointed out that at such tournaments, scouts and coaches would be on hand, looking for fresh talents and it is possible that they could land a scholarship or some sort of attachment, due to their excellent performances.
The brothers for their part, shyly thanked the Ministry and Department of Sports for their support.
