Three person said to be assisting police with investigations into the murder of Bank Manager

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Nevispages has been reliably informed that three persons are presently in police custody helping with the investigations into the murder of Mr. Everette ‘Ev’ Hanley. Fifty-seven year old Hanley, who was a Loan Manager at the Bank of Nevis Limited was gunned down outside of his Hamilton Village home sometime after 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015.

Reports are that Hanley left his home earlier that evening and was hanging at a local shop and upon his return to his home he was confronted at the gate by an assailant or assailants. Reports are that he was shot multiple times and also sustained a broken finger. It was also indicated that the perpetrator or perpetrators made off with a chain and a ring.

Hanley joined the Bank of Nevis as a Credit Manager on Monday October 3, 2011. Prior to that appointment he served at Barclays/CIBC First Caribbean International Bank for over 35 years in both supervisory and management roles across the Caribbean. The position he held immediately before joining the Bank of Nevis, was Deputy Director of Receivables Management, Credit Risk Department in Barbados.

He held a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Durham University, England. With his untimely demise, Hanley leaves to mourn his wife, children and other family members.
