Three Stalwarts in the Stoney Grove Community Honoured

Charlestown, Nevis – Monday,  December 23rd, 2019 was a very significant and meaningful day, for some members of the Stoney Grove community.

On that day, members of the Stoney Grove Community Club, made a few house calls, in order to honour three stalwarts of that community.

President of the club, Mr. Brian Dyer explained that it was the second annual ‘dollar a day’ initiative– the brainchild of Mr. Evan Jones, who for the second year running, has ‘put his money where his mouth is,’ by making the significant monetary donation to the seniors within the Stoney Grove community.

Dyer indicated that the three individuals were so honoured, due to their significant contribution to the Stoney Grove community and beyond.

While Mr. Dyer presented the cheques to the honoured individuals, Mr. Jones presented bouquets of flowers to the two ladies and a gift basket to the gentleman honoured.

The honourees on the day were: Ms. Joyce Hennis, Mrs. Olvis Dyer and Mr. Vernel Selkridge.
