As the Nevis senior team continued preparations for the upcoming Leeward Islands Cricket tournament, the selectors arranged a second trial match for Sunday 26th August.
The Jason Campbell X1 won the toss and elected to bat first.
They scored 213 for 7 in 40 overs. Saeed Williams, son of Stuart Williams, scored an imposing 67 and Marcus Dubberry batted stoutly for 44
Tonito Willet got 3 wickets for 26 runs; Akito Willet 1 for 33; Joseph Williams 1 for 38; Boognarine Sharma 1 for 21.
When the Tonito Willet’s X1 batted, a solid and impressive partnership between Joseph Williams and Akito Willet saw them safely over the line.
Akito Willet top scored with 69 and Joseph Williams scored 52 not out.
Adelvin Phillip got 2 wickets for 31 runs and Zavero Forbes got 2 for 42.
The Nevis team is expected to be named shortly.
