On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at a session of the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided over by Her Honour Rhonda Nisbett-Browne, the following convictions were recorded:
In the case of the Licensing Authority vs. Jahsef Leader of St. Paul’s, the defendant appeared without legal representation and pleaded guilty to two traffic offences committed on September 16, 2023. For the offence of driving without a seatbelt, he was convicted and fined $400.00, payable within 14 days, or, in default, he would serve 7 days of imprisonment. Additionally, for failing to produce a driver’s licence immediately, he was convicted and fined $100.00, also payable within 14 days, or, in default, he would serve one month of imprisonment.
Eighteen (18) ticket cases were withdrawn following proof of payment of the fines. Twenty-three (23) ticket cases were adjourned to August 25, 2025.
Five (5) bench warrants were issued for the following individuals for failing to appear in court:

2. Yusuf Saunders of Newtown
3. Kevin Williams of Wades Garden
4. Calvin Belle of Sandy Point
5. Jack Crawford-Knotts of Tabernacle
