TRINIDADIAN BECOMES A GUARDIAN GROUP CATCH A MILLION CONTENDER

Friday, 17th July 2015 – Port of Spain, Trinidad: Ricarldo Ragoonanan from Tunapuna, Trinidad, has become the third contender in the Guardian Group Catch a Million promotion at the Hero Caribbean Premier League. Ragoonanan made a sensational one-handed catch when a six from Cameron Delport found its way into the stands at Thursday night’s encounter between Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel and the Barbados Tridents at Queen’s Park Oval. He wins US$1,000 and a chance to be at the Hero CPL Grand Final, at the same venue, where he could compete for up to US$1,000,000.

The two other successful catches were at the Hero CPL matches at Sabina Park, Jamaica, last week where Private Javed Fisher and Cecil Patterson, from Kingston, both picked up cheques for US$1,000.

Commenting on the catch, James Wynne, Head of Marketing, Hero Caribbean Premier League said:
“Catch a Million has really created added excitement in this year’s tournament and we’re very grateful to Guardian Group for partnering with us to deliver this fantastic promotion for fans at Hero CPL games. All three catches, so far, have been remarkably skilful so it will be very competitive if a six comes their way at the final with US$1,000,000 up for grabs!”

Hero CPL action continues at Queen’s Park Oval on Saturday, 18th July when the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel take on the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots at 12pm (EST). Tonight’s match in Providence will see the Guyana Amazon Warriors against the St. Lucia Zouks at 8pm (EST).
