T&T REDFORCE HUMBLES LEEWARDS HURRICANES

In what was dubbed an unofficial quarter finals encounter in the ongoing WICB 50 overs tournament, the Leewards Hurricanes found themselves in an unaccustomed position versus Trinidad and Tobago, on Sunday 12th February.

Leading run scorer and Captain, Kieran Powell, went cheaply, for just 1 and the other form batsman in Montcin Hodge, also went cheaply.

Thereafter, only Jermaine Otto got into the thirties, while some of the other batsmen got good starts, but failed to go on

It was a constant struggle for the Leewards men.

Shannon Gabriel and Ravi Rampaul were the chief destroyers with 3 wickets each.

The Red Force team took 34.1 overs to overhaul the paltry target, led by a typically aggressive 47 by Evin Lewis, with three other batsmen getting into the thirties.
