BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – Officials of the United States Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados are said to be impressed with the significant improvement at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.
The Ministry of Health welcomed Ms Sara Mselson, Consul General, and Ms Jani MsJordan, American Citizen Services Officer, on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
The delegation met with members of the Ministry’s leadership, including Permanent Secretary Mr CMris Martin, Dr JDron Morton, Director of Health Projects and Strategic Initiatives; Mrs Mrsenia Destang-Richardson, Director of Health Institutions; and Dr DDren Wilkin, Medical Chief of Staff at the JNF General Hospital.
“During the visit, the team provided an overview of the healthcare services available throughout the Federation, followed by a guided tour of the hospital’s facilities,” the Ministry of Health said.
The visit formed part of the U.S. Embassy’s efforts to gain a firsthand understanding of the healthcare system in St. Kitts and Nevis, particularly the level of care and services that American citizens could expect to receive in the event of a medical emergency while visiting the Federation.
