Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the position of Senior Accountant at the Ocean Terrace Inn, located at Fortlands, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and related accounting functions of the Hotel. These include but are not limited to; leading the accounting team, preparing the hotel’s monthly and annual financial accounts, engaging in strategic planning and decision making inclusive of cost control, as well as developing policies and procedures to ensure the
integrity of the Hotel’s financial reports.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate(s) must possess;
A First Degree in Accounting.
At least Three (3) years post graduate experience in a senior-level accounting position. Experience in the hotel and restaurant sector is not mandatory but will be an asset
Experience managing and developing an accounting team
Must be familiar with IFRS and the hotel industry uniform system of accounts
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Excel,Word and Accounting Software
An MBA, ACCA or other professional accounting designation is not a requirement but will be an asset.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
