Bodgernarine Sharma, accompanied by his Mom, little brother and other family members, left the Charlestown pier on Tuesday for an extended tour to the UK with a West Indies select under 15 team.
He was met at the pier by President of the Nevis Cricket Association, Denrick Liburd who urged him to give of his best and make Nevis proud.
Sharma for his part, thanked all who have helped him to this stage of his cricketing career thus far, including family members, coaches and the NCA and vowed to give it his all, during the tour.
The young off spinning all-rounder, recently represented the Leeward Islands under 17 team in the regional tournament and admitted that he did not perform to his full potential then but is committed to making the upcoming tour an outstanding one.
There is one other Leeward islander in the team and that is Zawandi White of Montserrat.
