Willet Humbled to Be Honoured

Just a little over three weeks away from the significant milestone of his selection to the West Indies Cricket team, Elquemedo Tonito Willet, indicated in a recent interview, that he is humbled to be honoured in such a meaningful way.

He spoke after he was gifted with a copy of the recently published book, by author Steve Manners: ‘The father, son and offsprings.’

Willet used the opportunity to praise Manners for his extensive research in completing the book and also saluted the efforts of his former boss and the acclaimed ‘Father of Nevis Cricket,’ John E. Howell, for his contribution to the development of the game on the island.

He also had a word for the upcoming youngsters: ‘Forget about the BLING-the fancy shades, the earrings and the chains and put in the hard work. Train hard; practice long and success will come your way.’
