London, England, August 17 – (www.bcacricket.org) – Spurred by an impressive all-round performance from Jaden Leacock, West Indies Under-15s defeated London Schools Cricket Association (LSCA) Under-16s by 42 runs in a Twenty20 match at Enfield Cricket Ground on Thursday.
Barbadian opener Leacock top scored with 49 off 38 balls including five fours and Carlson Bowen-Tuckett, the son of former Leeward Islands and West Indies all-rounder, Carl Tuckett, made 43 not out off 43 deliveries with two fours and one six in a total of 127 for four off 20 overs after West Indies Under-15s won the toss.
Leacock and Bowen-Tuckett added 54 in 8.3 overs for the third wicket.
Leacock, a student of Combermere School, then returned to share the new ball, snatching three wickets for four runs off four overs including one maiden as LSCA Under-16s were limited to 85 for five.
Opener Rod Martin hit the top score of 32 off 49 balls containing one six before he was third dismissed in the 18th over with the score 77, bowled by Leacock.
