The Windwards have booked their place in the grand final of the Hard Times Tape Ball League following an exciting semi-final victory over a depleted Bushwhackers side on Sunday, September 20.
Bushwhackers batted first and were dismissed for 70 runs, setting Windwards a modest but potentially challenging target.
In reply, Windwards were led by a composed innings of 24 runs from Deshawn James, as they steadily worked their way towards the target.
With just 15 runs required from the final two overs, both teams remained in contention, setting up a tense finish.
However, Demetrie Prentice put the result beyond doubt in the penultimate over with a remarkable sequence of dot ball, six, six and six, scoring 18 runs from the over and sealing a dramatic victory for Windwards.
The win means Windwards will face Villa United in the grand final, with the championship title now within reach for both teams.
