Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 11, 2018 (RSCNPF): Berlin Woods of Jessups, Nevis was found guilty of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply on Tuesday, July 10.
He was sentenced to two years imprisonment and fined $7,500 to be paid in six (6) months. If he fails to pay the fine, he will spend an additional twelve months in prison which will run consecutively. Further, a sum of $1,045.85 was confiscated by the court.
Woods was searched during a joint security operation between Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and Soldiers from the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force on April 30, 2018. As a result of the search, ten pieces of a hard white substance wrapped in foil – later confirmed as cocaine – was found.
