Youngster in police custody for the armed robbery of a TDC delivery truck

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- News reaching this publication indicates that one person is currently in police custody for the armed robbery of one of TDC’s delivery trucks. A Press Release issued by The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force stated that the incident took place on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at about 3:15 p.m. at New Castle.

At around that time eye witnesses saw one male wearing a mask and running with a cash pan in his hand. This was immediately after the alarm had been raised that the driver of a TDC delivery truck was robbed at gun point at Nisbett Settlement in the vicinity of the Lefco dorms. The culprit then made an escape on foot.

Police Officers of the New Castle Police Station are continuing to investigate the matter.

Officers are asking that anyone who may have any information pertaining to this or any other crime to contact the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS).
