Charlestown-Nevis-Minister responsible for Health and Gender Affairs, Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, on Tuesday of this week gave more details about an upcoming forum that will feature women and youths on Nevis.
Next week Tuesday-25th and Wednesday 26th June, a forum for women and youths, highlighting issues of peace and security, will be held at the Mount Nevis Hotel.
The forum is sponsored by the Commonwealth Secretariat, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Gender Affairs.
According to the Minister, women and youths will be coming from the OECS countries to be a part of this very important session, including several Caricom youth ambassadors and women involved in Gender Affairs.
The discussions will zero in on the importance of youth and women, as they lend their voices in peace and security, towards curbing crime and criminality, within their respective countries.
The forum will climax on the afternoon of Wednesday 26th June, with a grand march and rally, which will commence in the area of the former Artisan village, through Main Street, Charlestown and culminate at the Culturama Village.
Here, a gospel concert, will bring down the curtains on the event in grand style, as top local Gospel artistes, will team up with two internationally renowned singers, to inspire and entertain the expected huge audience.
The two overseas artistes are: Neesha Woodz of Barbados and Judith Gayle of Jamaica.
Minister Brandy-Williams is urging youths and women on Nevis, to register for the event.
