Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 01, 2016 (SKNIS): The smiles of the residents at the St. Christopher Children’s Home were made a bit brighter on Friday (April 01) when gift bags tailored to each child was presented by members of the Bardsey Cricket Club (BCC).

A cash donation and a large bag of toiletries and other essential items were also presented by the group out of England who are currently visiting St. Kitts and Nevis on a sports tourism venture.

Kevin Kelly, a member of BCC, said while planning the visit the group learnt of the facility and was eager to make a donation.

“Everybody in the community decided to step up and try and give and do fundraising to make a cash donation,” he said. “We also got the names of the children and made individual bags up.”

Mr. Kelly described the twin-island federation as “superb” and added that “it’s a pleasure for us to be able to come and give something back to the people.”
