BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — Port Zante was bustling with activity on Saturday as a total of 12,296 cruise ship passengers arrived in St. Kitts aboard four vessels, marking a busy day for the island’s tourism sector.
The Costa Fascinosa brought 3,348 passengers, while the Norwegian Gem docked with 2,320 passengers. Also in port were the Odyssey of the Seas, carrying 4,133 passengers and the Koningsdam with 2,495 passengers.
The influx of visitors provided a significant boost to local businesses, tour operators, and vendors, as thousands of passengers disembarked to explore Basseterre and other attractions across the island.
Tourism officials welcomed the strong turnout, noting that high-volume cruise days such as this underscore St. Kitts’ continued appeal as a premier cruise destination in the Caribbean.
