Cricket : Windies Fold Again Against New Zealand

New Zealand once again asserted their dominance over the West Indies as the third Test match concluded on Sunday, December 21st.

Batting first, New Zealand posted a commanding 575 for 8 declared, setting the tone early in the contest. In response, the West Indies showed some resistance, led by a fine century from Kavem Hodge, as they reached a respectable 420 in their first innings.

However, New Zealand maintained their control in the second innings, declaring on 306 for 2, and setting the West Indies an improbable target of 462 runs for victory.

Hopes of resilience from the touring side quickly faded as the West Indies were bowled out for just 138, succumbing to sustained pressure from the New Zealand attack. Duffy once again proved to be the chief tormentor, claiming another five-wicket haul to seal a comprehensive victory.
