BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — An unscheduled visit by the MS Ambience resulted in two Ambassador Cruise Line sister ships berthing simultaneously at St. Kitts’ Port Zante on Sunday.
The MS Ambience made the unscheduled call after it was unable to maintain its Cuba itinerary due to a UK travel advisory update. The vessel visited Guadeloupe on Saturday, February 14, before arriving in St. Kitts on Sunday, February 15, carrying 1,340 passengers. Its next scheduled port of call is Grand Cayman.
The sister ship, Renaissance, also operated by Ambassador Cruise Line, was likewise in Guadeloupe on February 14 and maintained its scheduled visit to St. Kitts on February 15. The vessel carried 1,108 passengers and later sailed to Antigua.
Early Sunday morning, the Ambience docked at Port Zante, as seen in the first photo. Both ships remained berthed during the morning and early afternoon, creating a notable sight at the cruise port.
