Fourth Round Victories Keep Saint Lucia and Dominica Winlott Title Hopes Alive

ROSEAU, DOMINICA – Hosts Dominica and Saint Lucia kept their chances red hot in securing the coveted WINLOTT / Windward Islands Under-19 Cricket title; the 2026 edition is currently underway in Dominica. Saint Lucia defeated St. Vincent and the Grenadines, while Dominica got past Grenada in the fourth round of matches.

Over at Benjamin Park, Portsmouth, Dominica squeezed out a 13-run victory over Grenada in one of two fourth-round matches on that day, April 15, 2026. Grenada won the toss and opted to field, and restricted the Dominicans to 192 all out in 43.1 overs. Skipper Earsinho Fontaine led the way with a 51-ball 43, which included 4 fours, Derwin Lewis made 32, and Nian Davis chipped in with 24.

Aravinda Bishop led the Grenadian bowling effort with 3 for 37, Jeremy Edwards 2 for 26, Desrond Mitchell 2 for 34, and Shamel Hillaire 2 for 44, with extras contributing 26.

Over at the Geneva Playing Field in Grand Bay, Saint Lucia defeated St. Vincent and the Grenadines by 79 runs under grey overcast skies. Having won the toss, Saint Lucia decided to bat first, fully confident that whatever total his team puts together, it would be a winning total. The Saint Lucians were all out for 179 in 36.3 overs, Theo Edward top-scored with 43, Jermian Thomas 28, Roystan Fannis 21, and Tyler Venner 16.

There were 18 extras, while Kevin Joseph took 4 for 37, Lebron Douglas 3 for 24, Olani Slack 1 for 11, Jorden Charles 1 for 25, and De Andre Dougan 1 for 30.

In reply, the Vincentians were reeling at 12 for the loss of 6 wickets, having lost wickets at 03 for 1, 05 for 2, 05 for 3, 05 for 4, 12 for 5, and 12 for 6 before a 40-run partnership between Zach Thomas and Lebron Douglas gave them a fighting chance. They were all out for 100 in 25.2 overs with 17 extras.

Zach Thomas made a fighting 63-ball 54, inclusive of 4 sixes and 2 fours, Elran Glasgow 16, the only double digit scores, as the Saint Lucians wrapped up a 79-run victory. Nathaniel Joseph took the only hat-trick to date, finishing with figures of 4 for 10, Tyler Venner 3 for 10, Neil Poyotte 2 for 16, and Liam Wilson 1 f or 35.
