St. George’s delivered a commanding performance to dethrone defending champions St. John’s at the A1 Farms 3rd Annual Parish Relays Festival, held at the Nevis Athletic Stadium on Sunday, 26 April.
The event began with an impressive march-past, led by St. John’s, champions of the previous two editions. A brief opening ceremony followed, ably chaired by Education Officer Mrs Terez Dore, setting the stage for an exciting day of competition.
Athletes then took to the track, thrilling a lively crowd with high-energy performances across a range of relay events, including the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, and 4x800m races.
At the conclusion of the meet, St. George’s emerged as the new champions, pulling ahead of St. John’s with a strong overall showing to claim top honours.

St. Paul’s Falcons – 115 points
St. Thomas’ Dragons – 94 points
St. James’ Tigers – 68 points
The victory marks a significant achievement for St. George’s, ending St. John’s reign and highlighting the growing competitiveness of parish athletics on Nevis.
