Nevis CO-Operative Credit Union Supports Culturama 2026 Through Festival Sponsorship

CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS – The Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited (NCCU) has reaffirmed its commitment to community development and cultural preservation through its sponsorship of the 2026 Nevis Culturama Festival.

The sponsorship was officially presented recently by NCCU employees, Ms Patulia Huggins and Ms Jaedee Caines, who handed over a sponsorship cheque to Minister of Culture, the Hon. Eric Evelyn. The presentation symbolises the Credit Union’s ongoing dedication to supporting one of Nevis’ premier cultural celebrations and ensuring its continued success.

This year’s sponsorship is guided by Cooperative Principle #7 – Concern for Community – and will specifically support a pair of contestants participating in the Mr. and Miss Talented Youth Pageant, one of the festival’s signature events that showcases the creativity, talent, and aspirations of the island’s youth.

The Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited has long recognised the important role that cultural events play in strengthening community bonds, celebrating heritage, and providing opportunities for young people to develop and showcase their talents. Through this partnership with the Nevis Culturama Committee, the institution continues to invest in initiatives that enrich the social and cultural fabric of the island.

NCCU extends best wishes to the Nevis Culturama Committee, participants, and all stakeholders for a successful and memorable Culturama 2026. The Credit Union also encourages Nevisians at home and abroad, as well as visitors to the island, to support and participate in the exciting slate of activities planned for this year’s festival.

As the festival season approaches, NCCU remains proud to stand alongside the community in celebrating the vibrant spirit, culture, and traditions that make Nevis unique.
