BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – Skyla Connor and Jonathan Essien make history by becoming the first swimmers to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
“Skyla will compete in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke, while Jonathan will race in the 50m Butterfly and 100m Butterfly,” the St. Kitts and Nevis Aquatics Federation has announced.
“This historic milestone reflects the athletes’ dedication, perseverance, and hard work, while marking another important step forward for aquatics in St. Kitts & Nevis,” it said.
Connor and Essien will be accompanied by SKNAF President Eldon Thomas, who will serve as Team Manager and Coach.
“A sincere thank you to the St. Kitts & Nevis Olympic Committee for its continued support in helping make this moment possible.
Join us in wishing Skyla and Jonathan the very best as they proudly represent our Federation on the Commonwealth stage,” the SKNAF said.
