BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (August 17, 2026) — The Ministry of Social Development has officially opened applications for its Back to School Voucher Initiative, providing $250 EC per child to assist families with educational expenses for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.
Applications opened today, August 17, 2026, and will remain available through December 31, 2026. Approved funds will be disbursed directly into beneficiaries’ active JAD Digital Wallets upon verification.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the $250 EC voucher per student, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a parent or legal guardian on record at the child’s school.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid phone number and email address.
Hold an active JAD Digital Wallet.
Application Process
Parents and guardians can apply online by following a four-step process:
Check Eligibility: Ensure all eligibility criteria, including an active JAD Digital Wallet, are met.
Gather Information: Collect the student’s full registered name, school name, and grade level for the 2026–2027 academic year. (Note: Parents with multiple children only need to submit a single application listing all dependents.)
Submit Online Application: Visit www.socialdevelopment.gov.kn to complete the digital form. Ensure the email address submitted matches the email linked to your JAD Digital Wallet. Only one form is permitted per adult.
Verification & Disbursement: The Ministry will verify applicant IDs, official school enrollment rosters, and JAD Digital Wallet statuses. Approved vouchers will be deposited directly into the applicant’s wallet.
