BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND (August 19, 2026) — Featured St. Kitts and Nevis personalities set to perform at the Fifth St. Kitts and Nevis Heritage Day in Birmingham, England, have arrived safely in the UK city.
The star-studded lineup includes Itebulous, former lead singer of Nevis’ Ultrasonics; rising Kittitian singing sensation Dejour; acclaimed reggae artist and former Olympian Virgil Hodge; and the ever-popular radio personality and DJ, Sweet Sister Sensia of Freedom 106.5 FM.
Recognised as one of the largest St. Kitts and Nevis celebrations in the United Kingdom, Heritage Day features traditional Caribbean cuisine and live performances. The all-day event takes over the Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club on Sunday, August 23, 2026, with authentic street food prepared by St. Kitts-born Chef Esmie Stewart.
“An all-day cultural celebration of St. Kitts & Nevis is happening this month to honour the former British colony and smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere,” event organisers stated.
Deeply rooted in Birmingham’s long-established diaspora, the festival brings together the UK’s Kittitian and Nevisian community from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, celebrating rich culture, food, and music. More than 1,500 attendees from across the country are expected to join the festivities.
Organisers have curated a dynamic entertainment program featuring performers travelling directly from the Federation:
Itebulous: Renowned musical artist and former lead vocalist for the Nevisian group Ultrasonics.
Dejour (Dejour Alexander): Prominent Reggae, Dancehall, and R&B singer-songwriter celebrated for his smooth vocal range, versatile compositions, and conscious lyrical themes.
Virgil Hodge: Acclaimed reggae and Caribbean pop artist who successfully transitioned into music after achieving global fame as an international Olympic sprinter for St. Kitts and Nevis.
Sweet Sister Sensia: Leading Caribbean media personality, female DJ, and entertainer known for her vibrant radio presence and dedicated community engagement.
The celebration will also feature high-energy musical sets from popular DJs including KMD, Bajan Touch, Jus-Us, and Godfather. Additionally, representatives from the St. Kitts Tourism Authority will be on-site to showcase the island’s latest travel offerings.
St. Kitts-born Chef Esmie Stewart makes a welcome return with her Esmie’s Caribbean Fusion food truck, serving two distinct menus: traditional Kittitian favourites such as goat water and cook-up, alongside contemporary Caribbean street food.
“Heritage Day provides a wonderful opportunity to engage directly with our diaspora community,” said Chelcie Lewis of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “It is where conversations about home naturally happen—whether discovering what’s new in St. Kitts, planning a return trip, or introducing the next generation to the island for the very first time. We are excited to highlight our ‘We Limin’ Diaspora Programme, created specifically to strengthen connections between nationals abroad and the Federation through meaningful travel opportunities and exclusive benefits.”
