BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — The Elevate Programme, established by Prime Minister the Hon. Dr Terrance M. Drew, is celebrating a historic milestone following the success of its inaugural cohort in the CSEC examinations through the Elevate CSEC Examination Centre.
The initial cohort achieved remarkable results, including a 100 per cent pass rate in two subjects, earning a total of five Grade Ones, six Grade Twos, and two Grade Threes. Students also secured passes across several other subjects, reflecting their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to self-improvement.
Notably, every student who wrote English Language and Principles of Business passed their respective examinations, while candidates sitting Human and Social Biology achieved a 75 per cent pass rate.
The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Elevate leadership team continue to emphasise education, rehabilitation, and empowerment as vital pillars for building safer, stronger communities.
“This achievement reflects our vision of elevating society as a whole by creating opportunities for individuals to transform their lives through learning and personal development,” the management team stated.
Project Coordinator Ms Alicia Collins commended the candidates on their historic performance:
“This is more than an examination result; it is a testament to courage, commitment, and the belief that a person’s past does not determine their future. These students have made history as the first to sit CSEC examinations at the Elevate CSEC Examination Centre, and we celebrate their determination and success. Every step forward represents progress and possibility.”
Special appreciation is extended to Elevate Director Mr Junie Hodge, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister Ms Naeemah Hazelle, tutors Mr. Antwan Thompson, Mr. Shaheed Williams, and Mr. Glenroy Smithen, Office Manager Ms. Keanne Sutton, Liaison Field Officer Ms. Elvia Collins, media officer Mr. Shermar Moore, and the entire support staff who contributed to this landmark success.
