PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO — September 1, 2026 — The Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) have announced the retirement of the iconic No. 47 jersey, permanently honouring one of the franchise’s most celebrated figures, Dwayne Bravo.

No future player representing the Trinbago Knight Riders will wear the number 47, which has become synonymous with Bravo and his remarkable contribution to the franchise and Caribbean cricket.

The decision recognises Bravo’s distinguished career as a player, captain and coach, as well as his leadership, passion and commitment to the Knight Riders franchise.

Affectionately known as “Champion,” Bravo has left an indelible mark on TKR and the wider Caribbean Premier League. His performances, leadership and personality have made him one of the most recognisable figures in the tournament’s history.

The retirement of the No. 47 jersey serves as a lasting tribute to his contribution and the legacy he has built with the Knight Riders.

The number 47 now belongs to a champion forever.
