Nevis Water Department Advises of Service Disconnection for Outstanding Debts

NIA CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS (September 14, 2026) — The Nevis Water Department advises customers that water service disconnections for accounts with overdue balances will take place from Monday, September 21 through Monday, September 28, 2026.

Customers are urged to settle all outstanding balances by Friday, September 18, 2026, to avoid disconnection.

Please note the following:

A $150 reconnection fee applies to all accounts disconnected for non-payment.
Meter tampering will result in a $1,800 fine.
Damaged meters will incur a $2,300 replacement fee.
Water service will be restored within 24 hours of payment, except for payments made between 3:00 p.m. Friday and 8:00 a.m. Monday.
