There have been many outstanding employees who have made tremendous contributions to the advancement of our bank. Two of these were among the recipients of awards on 29th August at our 40th anniversary dinner.
We were privileged to salute Miss Patricia Lescott, whose career with the Bank spans four decades of dedicated and selfless service.
Miss Lescott joined the staff on 12 July 1986, just six months after the Bank opened its doors. She began her career as a Clerk, taking on various responsibilities, including serving as a Teller and New Accounts Opening Officer.
Over the years, Miss Lescott continued to grow professionally, taking on new responsibilities and serving as the Manager’s Secretary.
Through her commitment, hard work, and dedication, she steadily moved through the ranks, first being promoted to Junior Supervisor and later to Senior Supervisor.
Miss Lescott’s contribution to the Bank’s lending operations was particularly significant. She became the Bank’s first Loans Officer at a pivotal time when responsibility for granting loans transitioned from the General Manager to a formal Credit Committee.
She subsequently became the first Secretary to the Credit Committee, helping to establish and support an important aspect of the Bank’s credit operations.
She continued her dedicated service in the area of loans until her early retirement in January 2018, after an impressive 32 years of service to the Bank of Nevis Limited. But her story with the Bank did not end there.
Just two months later, in March 2018, Miss Lescott returned to the Bank on a contractual basis, taking on the role of Credit and Risk CAM Officer—a position in which she continues to serve to this day.
