Update 9:27 p.m. EST: Striking images from the Sydney café siege showed hostages with their hands against the glass windows as authorities worked to remove passersby from the plaza in front the Lindt Chocolat Cafe. Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the motive behind the incident has yet to be determined but could be a part of a larger plot.
