On the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), Acting Prime Minister the Honourable Dr Geoffrey Hanley held bilateral discussions with His Excellency Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers, Envoy for Climate Affairs, and Commissioner General for Expo 2030 Riyadh.
During the meeting, Dr Hanley extended warm congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saudi National Day and reaffirmed Saint Kitts and Nevis’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Acting Prime Minister also expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s support for the Federation’s geothermal energy development and for the provision of generators, noting their importance to the country’s energy security and climate resilience.
The discussions explored opportunities to expand cooperation in energy, technical training, infrastructure, and innovative solutions to global water challenges. The officials also exchanged views on preparations for Expo 2030 Riyadh and opportunities for continued engagement and collaboration between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saudi Arabia.
