Altercation between two youngsters slows traffic in Charlestown

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Police Officers in Nevis responded quickly to an altercation between two youngsters today Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Happy Hill Drive, Charlestown.

A large crowd of curious spectators gathered to witness events as they unfolded.

One of the youngsters was seen with a stone and bottle in his hand and yelling to the other youngster that he wanted his phone. This youngster with the missiles was attempting to get inside of a nearby café where the other young man had taken refuge.

Police officers responded quickly and confiscated the missiles before any of them were discharged.

However, when the young man came out of the eatery under police escort, he  seems to be nursing his elbow as if he was wounded during the altercation.

Both were taken into police custody.
