Nevis Celebrates Six Remarkable Women on World Centenarian Day

CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — Nevis proudly joins the global community in celebrating World Centenarian Day, honouring six extraordinary women whose combined lives represent more than 600 years of wisdom, resilience, and service.

These remarkable matriarchs have each contributed significantly to their families, communities, and the cultural fabric of Nevis. Their longevity stands as a testament to strength, perseverance, and a lifetime of invaluable experiences.

The island pauses to recognise and celebrate the following distinguished centenarians:

Ms Eliza Jeffers (106) – the oldest person in the Federation
Ms Geraldine Berry (101)
Ms Ernestine Wilks (100)
Ms. Francis Hicks-Jeffers (102)
Ms. Evelyn Brown (101)
Ms. Legantine “Leontine” Clarke (102)
