BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, June 1, 2026 — It is with deep regret that the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) confirms that Mr Wang Zyuan, who had been reported missing on the Mt. Liamuiga trail since Wednesday, May 27, 2026, was found deceased on Monday, June 1, 2026.
Mr Wang’s body was discovered by one of the coordinated search teams following several days of extensive operations on the mountain.
Since the initial report, joint search efforts were carried out daily by the RSCNPF, the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force, the St. Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Services, the Police Training School, the Forest Unit, the Red Cross, the Ross University K9 Unit, and dedicated community volunteers.
The Police Force has expressed profound gratitude to all agencies and individuals who contributed their time, expertise, and support to the search operation.
At this time, detailed information surrounding the circumstances of Mr. Wang’s death is not yet available. Investigations are ongoing.
