Basketball : Cayon Lions Clip Eagles’ Wings to Win Best of Five Finals

The crowd was thick and supportive, as game three of the St. Kitts-Nevis Basketball Association A-division finals, was played at the Grell Hull Stevens Netball Complex, on the evening of Thursday 29th June.

Cayon Lions were leading the series, 2 games to nil, with the Youth and Sports Eagles, trying to keep the series alive.

Both teams generally played well for the evening, keeping the game ever competitive and keeping the members of the crowd, shouting for their respective teams.

The lead changed hands throughout the game.

Tied at 15-all at the end of the first quarter, with the Eagles getting a slight lead by the completion of the first half.

The scores remained close throughout, but in the final quarter, Lions outplayed the Eagles, effectively clipping their wings.

Final score: Cayon Lions 72 Youth & Sports Eagles 66

Immediately following the game, a presentation ceremony was held.

Levan Lee of Cayon Lions was adjudged the MVP of the tournament.
