The Montserrat Amateur Basketball Association recently hosted its MABA Invitational Tournament from December 8 to 13.
The CG & CG Achievers Elite team participated in the competition. The squad is a combined unit made up of players from the CG and CG team of Church Ground, Nevis, and the Achievers Basketball Club of St. Kitts.
The team delivered a strong performance and captured the third-place trophy. The tournament champions were the Falcons of St. Kitts, while second place went to the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
On behalf of the team, Wanda Parry-France expressed sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Education and Hon. Troy Liburd, as well as YUCCO Construction, Moon Clarke, and Romel Tobias, for their invaluable assistance in making the trip possible.
Mrs France further noted that team members thoroughly enjoyed the experience and plan to return next year.
