Gingerland, Nevis- Mrs. Carmella Morton Lawrence, one of the finest Gospel singers in the entire Caribbean, is currently warded at the Alexandra Hospital, recovering from a vicious dog attack, earlier this week.
According to information received, Mrs. Lawrence was on one of her regular walks, when she was attacked by several dogs.
It is understood that she suffered severe injuries to her hands and feet.
A family source indicated that she received no fewer than 33 stitches to one hand.
No information has been received as to the fate of the dogs and their owners as yet.
